Alistair Deneys
Software Architect, Sitecore
Alistair is a former Sitecore Technology MVP and the first Australian to be awarded MVP in 2008. He maintained his MVP status working on a variety of projects for local and international Sitecore partners before joining Sitecore in 2013 as a Developer in the product department.
Since joining Sitecore, Alistair has worked as Lead Developer on several projects across Sitecore Experience Management (XM) and Sitecore Experience Platform (XP) before becoming a Software Architect, working with several teams spanning XM, XP and SaaS. He is currently the architect for Experience Edge.
Alistair is passionate about coffee, coding and automated testing. He's spoken at several events, both at home in Australia as well as internationally. -

Arif Uzzaman

This is Arif, a senior solution architect working in Sitecore in the APJ region, providing various solutions to our customers from Melbourne, Australia, since joining the organization in May 2022.
I have an interesting story. I also have experience working with Sitecore before, in the year 2016 to mid-2018, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a senior developer in the product team.
After leaving KL, I moved to Melbourne to work with a partner AKQA to develop the Sitecore commerce solution for one of the biggest clients at that time, Bunnings. I still can’t believe how Sitecore evolve since then. I remember, when I was part of the product team developing Sitecore services client API, Content Testing, and Personalization features, never had any idea that Sitecore would go fully composable one day.
I consider myself so lucky that I see both sides of it. After joining to professional service team where my role is to support and help our customers to solve their problems, helping them implement their solutions and see them become successful and part of it, I second time consider myself so lucky. My focus now is mostly on traditional XP, XM, and XC, along with OrderCloud, XM-Cloud, and now CH.
I feel so excited to see the future of Sitecore and see myself working with those composable products to help our customers. Apart from work, I love to enjoy cricket with my 7 years old son and pass the time with my 8-month-old daughter. Being mostly a remote worker, one of the great benefits I get is to give them a lot of time and help my wife.

I'm Arul Pushpam, and my journey in the professional world began in 2017. As a woman in this field, I've encountered numerous obstacles along the way. When I first embarked on my journey, I was far from being a proficient programmer. Comparing myself to others led me to believe I was lacking in various aspects. However, this perspective didn't serve me well.
It was at this point that I was fortunate to find a mentor who illuminated the world of technology for me. Concurrently, I discovered Sitecore, a platform that intrigued me with its myriad features. Rather than comparing myself to others, I channeled my energy into learning and growing. Sitecore's capabilities captivated me, motivating me to delve deeper, learn more, and achieve more.
As a result of my dedication, I proudly received my second MVP award this year. This journey has transformed me into a proficient programmer, a YouTuber, a blogger, and an enthusiastic knowledge sharer. I have a genuine passion for learning new features and, equally importantly, for disseminating my technical knowledge to the wider community.
In my spare time, you'll find me eagerly exploring new technologies, refining my skills, and sharing my insights with fellow enthusiasts. I firmly believe that the tech community thrives on collaboration and shared learning. Every day presents new opportunities for growth, and I'm excited to embrace each one with enthusiasm. -

With over a decade of expertise within the Sitecore technology stack, I will be honoured to present my insights at SUGCON. My journey through various roles and impactful projects has given me profound expertise in Sitecore JSS, XM, XP, and Sitecore Commerce.
Currently, I hold the esteemed position of Lead Consultant for Headless Implementation at NRMA, where I am orchestrating the transformation of digital experiences through headless architecture. This role allows me to leverage my extensive knowledge to redefine how businesses engage with their customers in a dynamic digital landscape.
In my previous role as Senior Tech Manager at AKQA, I led a dedicated team that undertook an ambitious project to decouple an existing eCommerce front end from its monolithic platform. Our efforts resulted in the creation of a headless commerce website for one of Australia's premier specialty fashion retailers, enabling seamless and agile customer interactions.
Notably, I spearheaded the successful MarketLink implementation for Bunnings, a household name in home improvement and outdoor living products. The accomplishment of delivering this project to production highlighted my ability to lead teams effectively and ensure the successful deployment of key commerce features and mobile app implementations for major retail platforms.
During my tenure at Deloitte, I took on the role of Tech Lead and successfully implemented two agent portals and Sitecore microsites as part of the Trusted Agent Network program for Service Victoria. This experience reinforced my expertise in crafting impactful digital solutions that cater to the unique needs of clients and end-users alike.
As a seasoned consultant, I have had the privilege of being instrumental in the implementation of multisite and multitenant Sitecore solutions as part of expansive digital transformation initiatives. This opportunity has not only expanded my technical acumen but also deepened my understanding of the critical synergy between technology and business strategy.
My journey within the Sitecore ecosystem has been marked by relentless innovation, transformative solutions, and an unwavering commitment to driving excellence in the realm of digital experiences. I am excited to contribute to the discourse at SUGCON and engage with fellow professionals who share a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology.
